Ella Cruz, Francis Magundayao and Bugoy's 'Wansa' Special Debuts with OMG! Ratings

Kapamilya teen stars Ella Cruz and Francis Magundayao, and award-winning child actor Bugoy Cariño have quickly captured the hearts of TV viewers as the pilot episode of their month-long “Wansapanataym Special Presents: Oh My Genius! (OMG)” won the ratings game.

Based on the data from Kantar Media last Saturday (August 3), “Wansapanataym Presents: OMG!” garnered 33.6% national TV ratings, compared to the 17.3% of its rival program in GMA “Vampire Ang Daddy Ko.” 

Meanwhile, in the continuation of Ella, Francis, and Bugoy’s month-long special this Saturday (August 10), Edison’s (Bugoy) life begins to change because of the super powers he acquired from Benson (Francis). Despite his sister Minnie’s (Ella) disapproval, Edison still keeps on using his powers to read the minds of other people to pass his exams at school. 

What danger will Benson bring to his family because of his abuse to his super powers? Will Minnie and Benson be able to prevent Edison from deceiving other people? 

Also featured in “Wanspanataym Presents: OMG!” are Meryll Soriano, Dennis Padilla, Igi Boy Flores, Jason Francisco, and Rollie Innocencio. It is written by Noreen Capili and Ferdinand Aguas, and directed by Erick Salud.

'Wansapanataym' Beats Newest Rival 'Vampire and Daddy Ko' Nationwide

ABS-CBN’s award-winning fantasy-drama anthology “Wansapantaym” continues its winning streak as it recently won in the ratings game over GMA’s newly launched sitcom.

According to the latest data from Kantar Media, “Wansapanataym” last Saturday (March 16), Zaijian Jaranilla’s ‘Hungry Games’ episode garnered 28.1% national TV ratings, compared to its newest rival program “Vampire Ang Daddy Ko” which only got 15.6%.

Meanwhile, “Wansapantaym” will teach kids this Saturday (March 23) the importance of education via its episode titled ‘No Read, No Write Nomar.’ Zaijian takes on the role of Nomar, a kid who takes his studies for granted due to his dream to become a good dancer. 

Because of his ambition, a scientist gives Nomar a magic potion that will give him the ability to become an amazing dancer. Will Nomar finally prioritize his education when he discovers that he can no longer read and write because of the potion?

Together with Zaijian in the ‘No Read, No Write Nomar’ episode are Lito Pimentel, Assunta de Rossi, and Archie Alemania. It was written by Rhoda Sulit and directed by Tots Sanchez-Mariscal.

National TV Ratings (March 9-10): Julia Montes' MMK, KathNiel on GGV Win Big!

National TV Ratings (March 9-10): Julia Montes' MMK, KathNiel on GGV Winner on PrimetimeThe Maalaala Mo Kaya 'Prosti' episode of Julia Montes was most watched on weekend garnering a nationwide TV ratings of 34.2%. In the said MMK, Julia was paired with actor Kiko Estrada.

Meanwhile, sitcom Vampire ang Daddy Ko of Vic and Oyo Sotto debuted in 4th place with a rating of 21.9%. It opened quite strong but not enough to beat Wansapanataym.

Sunday, Pilipinas Got Talent topped primetime viewing followed by Rated K. The guesting of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla in Gandang Gabi Vice was also a hit among viewers with 20.9%, a rating we haven't seen in a long time fromt Vice Ganda's show which is airing somehow late.
