The Voice PH Battle Rounds Results (August 11): Jessica Reynoso, Maki, RJ, Talia Won Battles

Four pairs again faced off in The Voice of the Philippines Sunday (August 11) as the exciting Battle Rounds of the hit singing-reality show continues.

The Voice of the Philippines - The Battles

First up was the battle between Maki Ricafort and Hans Dimayuga of Team Sarah. The two performed Lemar's What About Love with Maki playing the piano and Hans on the guitars. Sarah found it difficult to choose between the two because both were very good. However, she saw Maki more ready for the live shows. [Battle video]

Team Apl's Emmanuelle Vera and Jessica Reynoso showcased a girl-girl duet of Pink's Just Give Me a Reason featuring Nate Ruess. Jessica, sporting a straight hair, gave a powerful performance but Emman did not let her rival overpower her. In the end, coach Apl picked Jessica to advance to the next round of competition. [Battle video]

Talia Reyes and Denise Sagun of Team Bamboo did something beautiful with Red Hot Chili Peppers' Under the Bridge. Their rendition was quite slow but they jived smoothly and complemented each other. Coach Bamboo congratulated the two for a job well done but eventually picked Talia Reyes as the winner of the battle. [Battle video]

Team Lea had her triangle fight on the episode with Juvie Pelos, Rainier Acosta and RJ dela Fuente facing off in Marvin Gaye's What's Going On. The song was unfamiliar to the three but they delivered. Juvie Pelos was the one expected by many to advance but coach Lea said she kinda overdid the song. Klarisse performed Tulak ng Bibig, Kabig ng Dibdib and made all the coaches turn their chairs for her. Coach Sarah became excited when she learned that the then little Klarisse is now a lady with that superb voice.

"Klarisse, I think it's destiny kasi nauna ako dito para dalhin ka naman sa panahon mo, at ito ang panahon mo. Hayaan mong tulungan kita na masungkit mo 'to," said coach Sarah who even phoned her connection (Martin Nievera) just to convince Klarisse to join her team.

In the end, Klarisse chose Sarah saying "Gusto ko ulit siyang makasama."

Watch Klarisse de Guzman's performance below:

Joining Klarisse in Team Sarah on Saturday's episode is former South Border instrumentalist Maki Ricafort. Meanwhile, Team Apl gained a team member on Jessica Corpuz and coach Lea has already completed her team of 12 members (yet a surprise twist will add another one) with the entry of RJ Dela Fuente.
