Cora dela Cruz vs Jessica Corpuz (Video) | The Voice of the Philippines Battle Rounds

Check out the video of the battle between sidewalk vendor Cora dela Cruz and singing waitress Jessica Corpuz in The Voice of the Philippines which was aired Saturday, August 17.

Team Apl's Corazon dela Cruz and Jessica Corpuz battled on the song Makita Kang Muli by Sugarfree from the ABS-CBN sineserye Panday. The two were well-versed with OPM and harmonized really well. Although Jessica has proven her worth as an artist, coach Apl picked Cora, who according to coach Lea was a unique competitor.

Klarisse de Guzman Picks Former Rival Sarah Geronimo as Coach in The Voice of the Philippines

Coach Sarah Geronimo was reunited with former Star For A Night rival Klarisse de Guzman on The Voice of the Philippines as the latter's Blind Auditions aired on Saturday (July 20).

Klarisse performed Tulak ng Bibig, Kabig ng Dibdib and made all the coaches turn their chairs for her. Coach Sarah became excited when she learned that the then little Klarisse is now a lady with that superb voice.

"Klarisse, I think it's destiny kasi nauna ako dito para dalhin ka naman sa panahon mo, at ito ang panahon mo. Hayaan mong tulungan kita na masungkit mo 'to," said coach Sarah who even phoned her connection (Martin Nievera) just to convince Klarisse to join her team.

In the end, Klarisse chose Sarah saying "Gusto ko ulit siyang makasama."

Joining Klarisse in Team Sarah on Saturday's episode is former South Border instrumentalist Maki Ricafort. Meanwhile, Team Apl gained a team member on Jessica Corpuz and coach Lea has already completed her team of 12 members (yet a surprise twist will add another one) with the entry of RJ Dela Fuente.
